Sterke punten: If you happen to be the owner of Nieuwe Molstraat 37, I would strongly reconsider having this agency as your agent.

On Week 18, for diversification of our capital throughout Europe, I went to the Netherlands for one purpose - purchasing 3 to 5 investment properties.

On Tuesday, I've had a nice call with 2 ARE makelaars. We've had a nice conversation overall, they've even asked me if I'm sure that I want to look at this kind of property, since it needs a full overhaul - and that was exactly the kind of investment object I was looking for!

At the time, I was in Groningen. I had planned the next two days - Wednesday and Thursday - for viewing properties at Den Haag, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

During the call, we agreed to meet at Nieuwe Molstraat at 9:15 AM on Wednesday. Then we agreed that I will send them all of my details via funda.nl contact (schedule a meeting) form.

Confirmation by funda that the inquiry was sent at:
April 30, 2024 (Tuesday), 1:01 PM.

After a 3 hour long drive, I was there on Nieuwe Molstraat 37 on Wednesday, 8:45 AM. I've patiently waited until around 9:30 AM and decided to call them.

Their answer was that they don't have any viewings scheduled at this time and date, and perhaps I simply forgot to send my details to them - that's why they didn't show up.

The next day, they've called and told me that I've sent them the message only after the viewings and straight up blamed that I'm the one who is unable to send a message.

In other words, they think I'm mentally disabled and unable to use some basic messaging.

It's rather unfortunate as I've had high hopes for this property. It's even more unfortunate that I've wasted so much valuable time.

I believe they have some sort of call recordings for quality purposes, might be worth it to check them out.

Will they care if they've lost a potential buyer for your property? Probably not.
Will they fix their problems in the future?
Perhaps.
Will they indirectly call you an arr-tard?
Absolutely.

In my 6 years of dealing with properties, I haven't experienced a real estate agent who wouldn't show up to a meeting without informing me beforehand or some sort of emergency.

That's my take about 2 ARE Makelaars. Your mileage may vary.

Sterke punten: Ed Caminada van ARE Makelaars, toonde zich deskundig en heeft veel kennis over de huizenmarkt in Den Haag. Daarnaast is hij vriendelijk en heeft geduld. Hij heeft verscheidene aspirant-kopers meerdere keren de woning laten zien. De telefonische bereikbaarheid van ARE makelaars is optimaal. Ook zijn advies rond bod en onderhandelingen heeft mij geholpen om tot een optimaal resultaat te komen voor mij, maar ook voor de koper. Ik beveel hem ten zeerste aan..
