This is my personal opinion of Gravestate estate agency in Wassenaar. I have bought and sold houses in various countries and I have never ever come across such an awful estate agent. We were shocked how badly they looked after our house when they were showing prospective buyers around. We came back one time to find something smeared all over our glass coffee table, ground in dust into our beautiful wooden floor and large dirty foot prints all over the white conservatory tiles because they couldn't be bothered to go in and out of the door with the mat beside it. When we sent pictures of the mess, we received an email stating, " ‘I guess you ‘have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet’ ", which in itself shows a complete disregard for us and our property. What an appalling answer to receive. I have also never come across such a badly organized estate agency. The dysfunctional communications within Gravestate is quite shocking in itself. My personal recommendation to anyone is don't use them! To be honest considering that I paid Gravestate estate agency thousands & thousands of euros in double figures to just walk around 'showing' my house, it is the biggest rip off ever. You have to pay for the pictures which are done by a free lance photographer, which you could book yourself and you have to pay for Funda to advertise your property. So paying Gravestate was money for nothing in my personal opinion.

First of all we thank you for your open and honest feedback on the services you received from our office. It will allow us to improve on the quality of services we stand for, as part of a continuous process of quality improvement initiatives. At the same time we regret that, despite unbridled efforts and various dialogues with you during the Selling Process, we have not been able to take the negative emotions away. You clearly communicated at the start that Gravestate was given the opportunity to take over the sales activities from another agency in Wassenaar because of your negative impression about that process. It put our focus on doing better and meeting your expectations accordingly. At first instance we were satisfied by finding a suitable buyer for your property, we managed to sell your property within one month after it had been on the market for 287 days with the other agent. Unfortunately, we had to learn that all the efforts that we put in conducting that sales process led to a high level of frustration. Despite our intensive efforts to explain the reasons behind certain activities and in many cases ‘walking the extra mile’ to make it as comfortable as possible for you we have not managed to comply with your expectations.
