Around January/February 2026, I first contacted them showing my interest in car to swap the lease and explained that my current lease would end in May, meaning I am in need of another car from 1 June. At that time, I was sent back saying it was too early to start the process and that I should contact them again in April.
I followed the advice and reached out again in April. I was then informed that the process could be started and that it would typically take approximately 3–4 weeks. I promptly provided all requested information and was told the process had been initiated.
A couple weeks later(in May), I was contacted by them and asked whether I had heard anything from the Car Dealer, but I had received no communication.
Since then, I have followed up a few times and have received indications that some approval was pending and will be done soon. However, almost two months after the process was initiated, there still was no confirmation, no timeline, and no indication of when a decision can be expected.
The most difficult part was that my previous lease had now ended, leaving me without a vehicle. I had to start looking for other options.
Eventually, I did receive an update(somewhere 3rd week of June) but it was a bit too late as I had already made up my mind and committed elsewhere to own a 2nd hand car instead.
3 stars for their effort in trying to speed up the process, however, my experience has not been super good.
Only suggestion is: Do not send back a potential client, saying "it's too early", instead just initiate the process anyway making the client aware about the timeline and let them decide if they would like to wait or not. I believe it can prevent a lot of procedural unpleasantness.

We hebben destijds geadviseerd om nog even te wachten, omdat aanbieders van auto's die per direct beschikbaar zijn, meestal geen vijf maanden willen wachten op een overname. Daarom past het in de praktijk vaak beter om dichter op de gewenste ingangsdatum te starten.
Helaas duurde de procedure bij deze leasemaatschappij veel langer dan vooraf werd verwacht. Hoewel we het proces waar mogelijk hebben geprobeerd te versnellen, hebben we geen invloed op de uiteindelijke doorlooptijd.
We begrijpen dat je voor een andere oplossing hebt gekozen. Ondanks dat het deze keer anders is gelopen dan gehoopt, staan we in de toekomst graag weer voor je klaar.

Helaas lukte het niet om tot een swap te komen.
Hoe dan ook wil ik jullie bijzonder bedanken voor de wijze waar op jullie contact houden met mij als aanbieder, de mate van professionaliteit en service gerichtheid. Ook als heeft het niet geleid tot een swap.
Ik zou jullie altijd aanraden als iemand op deze manier zijn private lease contract zou willen beeindigen.

Aanrader. Prettige communicatie, snelle reacties. En binnen 3 weken werd de auto al afgeleverd! Superblij met onze eerste elektrische auto, zeker nu. We zullen voor een volgende auto zeker eerst bij LeaseSwap aankloppen.
