Being told an offer is accepted and then seeing that position reversed when a better bid surfaces — followed by a lesson on “how the market works” — inevitably raises questions about how commitments are regarded by Overspaern Makelaardij B.V.
reflecting very bad manners, a dismissive attitude, and a lack of basic professional courtesy. I am skipping their adds as soon as they appear :(

0 stars – deeply disturbing conduct
I was told that my friend had received clear confirmation that her offer on a property handled by Overspaern Makelaardij B.V. was accepted. She was very happy! After weeks of stress and uncertainty, it finally felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She stopped looking at other properties and allowed herself to believe the process had reached a conclusion.
Shortly afterward, she was informed that a higher offer had been chosen instead. The earlier confirmation was simply overturned!
Reversing a communicated acceptance is not a minor adjustment; it has real emotional and practical consequences. It sends a message that a “yes” may not actually mean yes.
What makes this even more troubling is that after she left a negative review describing her experience, she was contacted and asked to remove it. Instead of addressing the substance of what happened, the focus appeared to be on silencing criticism.
That level of audacity speaks for itself.
Future clients should carefully consider what this says about how commitments and accountability are handled.
I was with my friend when she received the phone call from her agent which got the confirmation from Overspaern Makelaardij B.V. that her offer had been accepted. There was no uncertainty in the message. It was communicated as a done deal. I saw the relief on her face and the immediate decision to stop pursuing other properties because she believed an agreement had been reached.
The very next day, we learned that another offer had been accepted instead. Higher bids had still been considered after the supposed confirmation. The change was communicated briefly and almost casually, as if reversing an accepted offer were a minor adjustment rather than something with real impact.
Watching this unfold was unsettling. It erodes trust not only for the person directly involved, but for anyone witnessing it. Buying a home is already a financially and emotionally demanding process, and people depend on clear, reliable communication to navigate it. When confirmations can simply be undone, confidence in the entire process is shaken.
As someone who has not even entered the housing market yet, this experience has already made me realize that when my time comes, I will approach it with double the caution and a level of distrust I did not previously have. That alone says enough.
Prospective clients should be aware of how situations like this may be handled.
There is not low enough rating for this kind of a behavior. Shame on you!
