We are not local buyers, we were buying a flat to stay in Rotterdam when visiting our daughter, so we did not really have a feel for the market, and weren't accustomed to the bidding process. We missed a much nicer earlier property because our broker was reluctant that we offer a higher price, in part due to her own objection to the rising prices of real estate. We ended buying a less attractive property at a higher price, so that was a little disappointment. Otherwise were were extremely pleased by the service and availability of the broker, as we conducted all the search and the purchase at distance.
