My agent was outplayed by sell agent (that lied about the bids)

I presume, that I overpaid for the house that I've bought. The sell agent lied about that they already have an offer of asked price, so under this pressure we overbit non existing offer. So I paid to agency a lot of money (around 8k) to save some, but paid more in the end.
